She has provided custom plagiocephaly helmets to infants for over 20 years utilizing the most modern cranial technology available. This amounts to thousands of flat head shapes fixed with one infant helmet. She is very familiar with every style of cranial band used to treat plagiocephaly. After working with many different brands of cranial bands, she has found the STARband to be the most effective. Pat is an industry leader treating head shape abnormalities and a regular lecturer at professional conferences regarding cranial remolding care and improvements in treatment.
Anna Erickson, OTR/L, specializes exclusively in cranial remolding treatment. She has completed the Orthomerica All-Star training. The patient's she sees have excellent results with their head shape and the families are uniformly very pleased with the care and outcome of the treatment she provides. All babies seem to adore her!

Our team will perform a thorough evaluation of your baby and give an honest assessment for the need for outside physical therapy and/or a cranial band. We are very comfortable sending you and baby home without a STARband, but if the baby needs a baby helmet, we will correct the shape with one helmet. Chicago Pediatric Orthotics is not owned by investment bankers - we are caregiver owned. Our staff has no quotas to meet. Evaluations are NO COST to the family.

Note: We see infants as young as 3 weeks old for evaluations. Our hope is to prevent the need for a cranial helmet. The younger a baby is, the more options there are for treatment.
